In a remarkable display of skill and determination, Willow Skipsey a young talent hailing from Selsey, has clinched the gold medal at The British National Waterski Championships achieving personal bests in the largest skiing competition of the year!

At the tender age of under 14, Willow has taken the waterskiing world by storm, achieving this incredible feat after just one year of dedicated training and practice. Willow discovered waterskiing via an after school club that her school Chichester Free School arranged at her local club Chichester Waterski where she was introduced to coach Duke Hazzard who gave her a goal of skiing in the nationals in a years time, She has also been lucky enough to receive coaching by former British and European champion Brett Hodgkins at Chichester Waterski.

Her triumph not only cements her status as a rising star in the sport but also serves as an inspiration to aspiring female athletes across the UK.

Willow has won “The most improved female skier” award at The Waterski Academy Awards Dinner in February and has continued to train hard to win further medals at competitions. We are excited to see what the future holds for Willow. She will continue training throughout the winter in all conditions at JB Ski in Surrey and The Waterski Academy to ensure she enters next season ready to compete! Good luck Willow we cant wait to hear more.
